FIRE COMMISSION SEAT OPENING 

Asotin County Fire District # 1 Board of Commissioners is taking letters of interest to fill a vacancy on the Fire District Board. The board may appoint someone to fill the open position at the regular board meeting October 8, 2019 at 5pm. This will be a two year appointment and then it will go on the ballot to finish out the final two years of a 6 year term. 

Letters of interest and supplemental questions will be due October 1, 2019 by 5pm. 

Commissioner Qualifications:

U.S. Citizen
At least 18 year of age
Registered voter residing in the fire district for at least 30 days
No Felony Convictions unless the individual has had his or her civil rights restored subsequent to the conviction. Conviction of anything less than a felony does not preclude an individual from holding public office.
No Contractual conflict of interest with the District, i.e. a contractual relationship with the District that exceeds $1500 per month in compensation.
